How to Get from Hong Kong Airport to Hong Kong Downtown

Airport Bus

Another option is to take the airport bus, which is cheaper than the express bus. The cost is approximately HK$30 to get to the city center. However, travel time is around 75 minutes, and can increase up to 2 hours in case of traffic. This option is not recommended if you are in a hurry. There are several routes available:

·Route A is the fastest and most efficient to get to the center.

·Route E buses make more stops and have luggage restrictions.

·Route N operates after midnight, ideal for overnight arrivals.

Lines A11 and A21 are especially popular with visitors. The A11 covers the northern part of Hong Kong Island (Central District, Wan Chai, Causeway Bay and North Point), while the A21 passes through Nathan Road, Salisbury Road and Chatham Road South towards Hung Hom Station, covering areas such as Mong Kok, Yau Ma Tei, Jordan, Tsim Sha Tsui and Hung Hom.

Taxi

Taking a taxi is another ideal option to get to the city center, especially convenient for those arriving on overnight flights or for those who prefer not to walk. The taxi ride to the center takes about an hour and does not require transfers, except in traffic near Tsim Sha Tsui. Although it is a convenient and flexible option, it can be expensive, especially for individual travelers.

Taxis in Hong Kong are identified by color according to their destination:

·Red: reaches the city center and Kowloon.

·Green: covers the New Territories.

·Blue: serves Lantau Island.

All taxis can reach Hong Kong International Airport and Disneyland park. It is important to take the taxi in designated areas such as hotels, markets, metro and train exits, and wait in line when waiting for a taxi.
